can't use show variables

ใช้คำสั่ง SHOW VARIABLES ไม่ได้ครับ..
เป็นเพราะอย่างไรครับ..
ติดตั้งเครื่องใหม่ครับ รายละเอียดตาม นี้ครับ

ตอนเข้าใช้ mysql ให้ใช้คำสั่งตามนี้ครับ

เปลี่ยนจาก mysql -root -p เป็น

# mysql -u root -p

รับรองใช้คำสั่ง

mysql> show variables;

ได้แน่ครับ

ตอนเข้าใช้ mysql ให้ใช้คำสั่งตามนี้ครับ

เปลี่ยนจาก mysql -root -p เป็น

# mysql -u root -p

รับรองใช้คำสั่ง

mysql> show variables;

ได้แน่ครับ 

ขอบคุณมากครับ... เฮ้อ พลาดอีกแล้ว..
แบบว่าปกติ ถ้าพิมพ์ผิด ก็จะ login ไม่ได้อยู่แล้วครับ.. เคยชิน(เครื่องที่ตั้งรหัสไว้แล้ว)
แต่ลงเครื่องใหม่ ยังไม่ได้ตั้งรหัสผ่าน พิมพ์ไปยังงี้ ก็เพิ่งรู้นี่ละครับ ว่ามันผ่านได้ด้วย
เอะ ยังไง 

พอดีลองเข้าหลายรอบครับ.. ก่อนจะมาตั้งคำถาม ทั้ง reset เครื่อง login หลายครั้ง..
ก็คงพิมพ์ตกแบบนี้ทุกครั้งไป
