เอาล่ะ ได้ฤกษ์ทดลอง ubuntu บ้างซะที

อันดับแรก Download ubuntu 7 มาจาก http://www.ubuntu.com  เอาแบบ Desktop Edition นะครับ 1 แผ่น สามารถทำงานเป็น live cd หรือจะติดตั้งลง harddisk ก็ได้

ตอนติดตั้งให้เลือกภาษาไทย ครับ

ต้องยืม font ของ windows บางตัวมาใช้งานด้วยครับ ได้แก่ tahoama , angsana new,  verdana , etc...

cp [fonts] /usr/share/fonts/truetype/thai
fc-cache -f -v

ติดตั้ง wine ด้วยครับ เผื่อจะใช้งานโปรแกรมใน windows

wget -q http://wine.budgetdedicated.com/apt/387EE263.gpg -O- | sudo apt-key add -
sudo wget http://wine.budgetdedicated.com/apt/sources.list.d/feisty.list -O /etc/apt/sources.list.d/winehq.list

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install wine cabextract

cp /windows_dir/fonts/*874*.fon $home/.wine/drive_c/windows/fonts/

winecfg

wget http://www.tatanka.com.br/ies4linux/downloads/ies4linux-latest.tar.gz
tar zxvf ies4linux-latest.tar.gz
 cd ies4linux-*
 ./ies4linux

หากต้องการลูกเล่นแบบ vista ให้ติดตั้ง compiz fusion

เปิด synaptic เลือกเมนู Setting -> Repositories -> add

deb http://download.tuxfamily.org/3v1deb feisty eyecandy
deb-src http://download.tuxfamily.org/3v1deb feisty eyecandy


จากนั้นเรียกใช้คำสั่งใน Terminal

sudo wget http://download.tuxfamily.org/3v1deb/DD800CD9.gpg -O- | sudo apt-key add -

ตามด้วย


sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install nvidia-glx
sudo apt-get remove compiz-core desktop-effects
sudo apt-get install compiz compiz-gnome compizconfig-settings-manager
sudo apt-get install libcompizconfig-backend-gconf
sudo apt-get install compiz-fusion-*

การ์ดแสดงผลจะต้องรองรับการทำงาน 3D ด้วยนะครับ หากเป็นของ nvidia ต้องติดตั้ง nvidia-glx ก่อนครับ แล้วค่อย enable effect

ติดตั้ง compiz-fusion ตามนี้ http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=481314

 และ gdesklets ด้วยคำสั่ง sudo apt-get install gdesklets

Ubuntu 7 น่าสนใจเหมือนกันแต่เครื่อง  SERVER ที่ผมใช้มันไม่ support น่าเสียดายเหมือนกัน :D

กำหนด gtk1.2 application font ด้วยการสร้างแฟ้ม ~home/.gtkrc.mine ที่มีข้อมูลดังนี้ครับ

style "gtk-default-th" {
       fontset = "-microsoft-tahoma-medium-r-normal-*-*-100-*-*-p-*-tis620-0"
}
class "GtkWidget" style "gtk-default-th"

อย่าลืม download theme/icon สวยๆ จาก http://gnome-look.org/ มาติดตั้งด้วยนะครับ

หมายเหตุ การติดตั้ง โปรแกรมใน ubuntu จะใช้โปรแกรมชื่อ apt-get เป็นหลัก (text mode) หรือ Synaptic (graphic) ซึ่งจะต้องเป็น root ก่อน

สามารถกำหนด รหัสผ่านของ root ได้ด้วยคำสั่ง

sudo passwd root

แล้วค่อย su เป็น root

Lazarus ใน ubuntu (รูปไฟที่เห็นเกิดจาก Burn effect ของ compiz นะครับ)

หยุด 2 วันนี้ก็กำลังทดสอบ CentOS 5 & Fedora 7 อยู่เหมือนกันครับ
สำหรับ แฟนๆ Ubuntu ผมว่า http://www.ubuntuclub.com มีเนื้อหาที่น่าสนใจเยอะเลยครับ
